This 5 week 2 hour class covers the basics of throwing using the potter’s wheel and introduces the process to those with no experience. The course focus is on developing potter’s wheel techniques (wedging, centering, pulling and shaping) in order to produce a successful vessel that makes it through the entire process from creation to firing. Essential techniques for beginning level glazing using our in house developed glazes will be a part of this experience.
